Museum Altes Zollhaus

The Heimatverein Baltrum e.V. has lovingly and enthusiastically restored the Bummert, a typical East Frisian semi-detached house and the only one of its kind on an island that is a listed building, and opened a museum there in 2007. The heart of the Bummert is the professionally designed exhibition in the basement. Accompanied by an audio guide, visitors are given fascinating information about the history of the island and the islanders in the four rooms and two galleries.
